Teleconnects
ONA is hosting education via teleconnects in the following areas:
- Selected lecturette topics from the 2013 Education Brochure.
- Hospital Contract Interpretation.
- Long-term Care Sector.
- Health and Safety.
- Human Rights and Equity.
- Professional Practice.
The teleconnects we've had to date have been very successful. We hope to reach as many members as possible using this easily accessible method of education.

Handouts: May 24, 2012 Teleconnect: How To Be A Great ONA Unit Representative
ONA Representatives are key to running Bargaining Units. They are normally the first contact that members have with the Union. The learning points covered in this session will be: 1) understanding ONA structure and how dues support ONA services; 2) referring labour relations matters in the bargaining unit; 3) identifying the unit representative’s role in the grievance process; and 4) identifying the unit representative’s role in the Professional Responsibility Process.
