Information for Nurses at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Site

A number of your co-workers have contacted the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) about joining the union that represents 57,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals as well as more than 13,000 nursing students.

Nurses at the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), University Site are frustrated that, unlike their colleagues who are already ONA members, they have not received their 3 per cent wage increase.

Your wages were frozen by the Government of Ontario, while ONA members’ pay increases and working conditions were protected by their collective agreement with the same employer.

Co-workers of yours have told ONA that they have had enough of cuts being made on the backs of nurses. They want to be unionized, to prevent this from happening again.
