The eight RNs at Delhi Long-Term Care Centre chose ONA to represent them in a vote on July 14, 2010. This 60-bed nursing home in Norfolk County was established in 1976.

On July 8, 2010 there was a successful vote at Bethesda Services. The five RNs at Bethesda Services provide a range of services to adults with developmental disabilities in the Niagara, Brant, Hamilton, Haldimand and Norfolk areas.

A large vote at Toronto Grace Health Centre on June 15, 2010 resulted in 60 registered nurses overwhelmingly choosing ONA.

Two votes were held on June 10, 2010, both successful as six RPNs at Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Canada, Ontario Branch, North Bay-Huntsville Site chose ONA to represent them, and seven RNs at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek became members of ONA.

In a successful vote on May 27, 2010, eight RNs at Maple View Lodge in Athens joined ONA.
March 17, 2010
Twenty-one registered nurses at Extendicare Scarborough chose the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) their union. The nurses voted 93 per cent in favour of joining on March 17.
RNs and RPNs who work for the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) in Kirkland Lake and the surrounding area also chose ONA as their union. The six nurses became members on March 17, following ONA’s successful negotiation of voluntary recognition by the employer.

ONA welcomes 15 new members at Meadow Park Care Centre and Retirement Lodge in London, all registered nurses, who overwhelmingly voted for ONA on January 20, 2010.

The Ontario Labour Relations Board recognized ONA as the union representing 11 RNs at Specialty Care Cedarvale Lodge. The vote was held on November 18, 2009.

ONA welcomed 11 new members at Queens Garden in Hamilton. The RNs voted on November 9, 2009 to join ONA.

After a long campaign, ONA was pleased to announce that it was successful in winning representation for the 157 RNs and RPNs at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

ONA reached an agreement with the Queen's University Family Health Team to hold a vote under Section 69 of the Labour Relations Act (concerning sale of business). The registered nurses and nurse practitioners made their wishes clear that they wanted to be represented by the Ontario Nurses' Association.

ONA has been certified as the representative of 21 RNs at the Westmount Long Term Care Residence in Kitchener, after nurses made their wishes clear at the ballot box.
