LEAP Contact Information

To contact the LEAP Team, call 416-964-8833 or toll-free at 1-800-387-5580 and ask for LEAP Team Intake or e-mail LEAP Team Intake at leapintake@ona.org.

You will be connected to the LEAP Team member assigned to respond to calls on that day. If you do not reach a member of the team directly, leave a message providing details of the situation and a telephone number where you can be reached. Your call will be returned within 24 hours on a priority basis.

LEAP Team members are available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After Hours

After hours assistance is available regarding work-related criminal and coroner matters:

  • If you need to contact ONA after hours call: 416-964-1979 or 1-877-839-6245 (Enter 7775: ONA Board of Directors Intake).
  • Leave a message providing details of the situation and a phone number where you can be reached.
  • The Board Member on intake will make arrangements for a lawyer to call you as soon as possible to provide necessary legal assistance.
  • Contact LEAP Intake during office hours as soon as possible to file a claim and make arrangements for further assistance.

Malpractice Lawsuits

Malpractice lawsuits are covered under the ONA Professional Liability Insurance Plan, not LEAP.

  • If you have been named in a malpractice lawsuit, you should report it to Malpractice Intake at ONA's Toronto office at 416-964-8833 or toll-free 1-800-387-5580 ext. 7723. If you have not been named in a lawsuit but have been asked for a statement by your employer regarding a work-related lawsuit and you have questions or concerns, call Malpractice Intake at the phone numbers noted above. 
  • If you are uncertain of which service you require, please contact LEAP Intake and they will direct your call to the correct service team.
