Description:
Workshop Length: Two Days

Purpose: To assist participants in developing self-awareness and a deeper understanding of why people behave they way they do, to improve communication and assist in team-building. The program will also provide basic knowledge of ways to approach and resolve conflict situations.

Focus:

  • Members' temperament through the completion of the Personality Dimensions tool
  • Individual preferences, styles and temperament types and recognize their own unique blend of strengths and qualities
  • Diverse temperament styles of other members of their team
  • The theory of conflict resolution
  • A definition of conflict and types of conflict
  • Individual conflict approaches
  • Types of processes aimed at obtaining outcomes to conflict situations
  • The necessary conditions for conflict resolution
  • The cycle of conflict resolution
  • Communication skills and the importance of effective communication through the use of role play
  • Listening skills
  • Response and questioning skills
Who Should Attend: This workshop is designed for seasoned (more than three years of experience) Local Executive members and any member in a leadership role throughout the organization. This workshop would be most effective when an entire executive participates.
