Workshop Length: One Day
Purpose: To provide the participants with an understanding of issues related to professional practice at the CNO, Coroners' investigations and inquests, criminal investigations and prosecutions, witness representation and advice.
Focus:
- How the plan is funded, money invested, monitored, expenses incurred, the administration of the plan
- Administration of the plan and the duties of the plan administrator
- LEAP Team responsibility for summary advice and servicing the plan
- General conditions and eligibility for benefits under the plan
- Benefits and limitations of the plan in CNO proceedings
- Representation and legal expenses covering Coroner's investigations and proceedings
- Plan coverage, exclusions and limitations in criminal investigations and prosecutions
- Witness representation and advice
- Legal expenses, billings and claims
