Workshop Length: One day Purpose:

In this workshop, the learner will:

  • Communicate the purpose of DIPPs.
  • Differentiate between Short-Term Disability plans.
  • List members' accountabilities if denied Long-Term Disability (LTD).
  • Explain the importance of having LTD benefits.
  • List the options for a member who is permanently disabled.
Who Should Attend:
  • Bargaining Unit Presidents.
  • Grievance Chairs.
  • Return to Work representatives.
  • Unit Representatives.

Note: This workshop is best suited to Bargaining Unit Representatives with two to three years experience. It is advised that members attend Navigating the Collective Agreement and Grievance/Arbitration prior to registering for this workshop.
