Description:
One day Workshop
In this workshop, the learner will:
- Learn to recognize the reasons for attendance management policies.
- Learn how to utilize the ONA Attendance Management Guide.
- Learn to identify discriminatory practices
- Develop specific strategies to address them
- Know what resources they should be utilizing and sources of additional support.
This workshop is for ONA Representatives and Front-line ONA members.
- Where individual human rights are generated
- Human rights identified areas and grounds
- Dealing with discrimination
- Human rights terminology
- How discrimination is exhibited in the workplace
- Obligations of the union and the employer when a member lodges a human rights complaint with the bargaining unit
- The methods of dealing with a complaint
- The responsibilities of the ONA Human Rights Representative
- ONA policies on human rights issues
