New Local Coordinator Checklist - NEW Workshop - 4 hour
4 Hours
In this workshop, the learner will:
- Outline ONA structure.
- Outline communication pathways from the Bargaining Unit to the Board of Directors.
- Review their accountabilities as Local Coordinator as well as those of their Executive team.
- Discuss their role at provincial meetings.
This workshop is for New Local Coordinators who are unable to enroll in the New Local Coordinator’s workshop or Executive Skills I within a reasonable amount of time.
Note: This workshop is only recommended if Executive Skills I or the new Local Coordinators Workshop is not scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. In addition to these workshops, it is also recommended that new Local Coordinators attend Bargaining Unit Structure and Executive Skills Il workshops. If the new Local Coordinator has limited experience in labourrelations, it may be helpful to attend workshops such as the Grievance Process, Professional Responsibility: Workload Reporting Process and/or ONA Unit Rep. In the event that these are not available within a reasonable amount of time, the New Bargaining Unit President and Grievance Chair Checklist workshop is recommended.
