All teleconnects will take place at 19:30 hrs (7:30 p.m.). Notices including pre-registration details will be circulated via e-mail to leaders and posted on the website in advance of each teleconnect.

It’s More Than Just Unsafe Staffing: Workload and Practice Issues You May Not Have Thought Of

This hour-long session addressed strategies on how to use the Professional Responsibility Complaint (PRC) process to deal with a number of concerns beyond just unsafe staffing levels. Professional Practice Specialists provided information to assist ONA leaders in dealing with various other types of workload and practice issues, such as disruptive physician behaviour, hallway nursing, etc.

Skill Mix Change

December 7, 2009

The Ontario Nurses’ Association’s first Professional Practice Teleconnect was about skill mix change.

Moderator Vicki McKenna, RN, ONA’s First Vice-President, was joined by professional practice specialists Rozanna Haynes, Mariana Markovic, Jo Anne Shannon and Lorrie Daniels.

It is hoped that teleconnects will take place quarterly to address the hot topics of the day in professional practice.
