McMichael Canadian Art Collection (MCM)

Free parking and access to outdoor grounds is available every day to front-line workers until March 31, 2021.

Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG)

Free general admission to all essential healthcare and emergency workers, as well as 25 per cent off general admission to their guests. RBG is also offering 14-month memberships for the price of a 12-month membership to all essential health care and emergency workers through Thanksgiving Weekend.

Marriott Hotels – Community Caregiver Rate

Marriott International invites first responders and support staff providing medical, relief, and support services to book designated hotels nationwide as a part of a community caregivers program. This will provide health care and relief professionals, and those supporting them, a place to stay in close proximity to hospitals and government buildings as they aid in COVID-19 response efforts.

A “Community Caregivers Rate” has been established to expedite the booking process for healthcare and relief professionals and support staff. This rate will be available from March 26, 2020 through December 31, 2020 at participating hotels. Click here for details.

The IHG Group of Hotels (Intercontinetal, Holiday Inn and many more) are offering a discount to Ontario Nurses’ Association members. PROTECH

Josephine Pui-Hing Wong, RN, PhD, Professor, Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing, Faculty of Community Services is currently leading a COVID-19 rapid response project – PROTECH funded by the government of Canada, with the intention of providing mental health support to front-line health-care providers who have been/are experiencing high stress and potential burnout. Kid’s Help Phone

In partnership with Crisis Text Line, Kids Help Phone is offering crisis response across Canada, for all ages. In this moment of heightened anxiety, they are always there in any moment of need to support you. Text FRONTLINE to 741741 to access free, confidential 24/7 mental health support in both official languages. They have also partnered with the Government of Canada and other partners to create a web-based platform for mental health and addictions support services, called Wellness Together Canada. This service is available to adults in Canada for free, 24/7.

Canadian Psychological Association

The Canadian Psychological Association has called on all registered psychology practitioners to consider donating some of their time to provide psychological services to front-line health-care providers who may be feeling stressed, overwhelmed or distressed by being on the front lines of this health crisis.

If you are a front-line health service provider and would like to contact a psychologist, click here for more information. The CPA has compiled a list of psychologists who have volunteered to provide psychological services to front-line health-care providers. The list is organized by province/territory and by languages spoken. It is important to choose a provider who is listed within the province or territory in which you are located. The psychologists on the listing have agreed to return calls for requests for service within 24 hours of their receipt and to provide services at no charge.

The Therapy Centre

The Therapy Centre is offering free COVID-19 workshops to residents in Peel, Toronto, Halton, Hamilton and the Greater Niagara Region, through a secure video-conferencing platform. The virtual group workshops have been created to address the stress, anxiety and depression created by COVID-19. The clinicians are open to reduced individual rates on a case by case basis. Lucid: Free Stress reduction app

Acu4Nurses (Registered Acupuncturists and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners)

Our volunteer licensed practitioners are here to provide free help. We will conduct video conferencing and guide you through self-acupressure along with breathing exercises and other techniques that might help your emotional well being and relieve stress and anxiety. Johnson’s introduced a number of accommodations to provide flexibility to customers, such as waiving NSF fees and deferring payments. In addition they implemented an AUTOmatic Rebate, through which all customers receive a 10% reduction on car insurance premiums for three months.
