February 13, 2019

DUNNVILLE, Ont., February 13, 2019 – The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) is delighted to announce that the Registered Nurses from Edgewater Gardens Long-Term Care Home have overwhelmingly voted to join ONA.

“I am very pleased to welcome Registered Nurses (RNs) from Edgewater Gardens to our Union,” said ONA President Vicki McKenna, RN.

“ONA looks forward to representing these dedicated RNs, who are so committed to providing the best care possible to their residents. Our new members work to provide the kind of care their residents need and deserve,” she said.

McKenna notes that ONA members have access to a wide range of services and expertise to assist them in their work and workplace. The RNs from this Dunnville, Ontario home are concerned about heavy workloads that they believe may be impacting resident care. The RNs say there have been high levels of management and staff turnover.
