Register Now: 2023 Health and Safety Caucus

Registration is now open for ONA’s annual health and safety caucuses, held in conjunction with the May Area Coordinators Conferences (ACCs).

This year's theme is "Preventing and Responding to Psychological Injuries in the Workplace." This caucus is designed to support our health and safety leaders to prevent and/or respond to psychological injuries by helping them identify workplace conditions that give rise to them, outline the tools and organizations that can support them in their prevention efforts, and how to support members when injury occurs.

Region 1- Wednesday, May 3, 2023 (Virtual)

Region 2 - Tuesday, May 16, 2023 (Code’s Mill – Perth)

Region 3- Thursday, May 18, 2023 (St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue – Toronto)

Region 4- Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (The Pearle Hotel and Spa – Burlington)

Region 5- Tuesday, May 23, 2023 (The Arden Park Hotel – Stratford)

All sessions run from 0830 – 16:30 EST on the specified date.

Registration

Pre-registration for the H&S Caucus education day is required to ensure that sufficient refreshments, lunches and materials are available. All members are requested to register for the Caucus online. Note: Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis due to limited space.

Once registration is completed, members will be directed to complete a 20-minute confidential Stress Assess survey conducted by OHCOW, which will be analyzed and shared with attendees as a demonstration of how the survey works and could be implemented in the workplace. The results of the 2023 survey will be analyzed against a similar survey completed by attendees at the 2012 caucus, to understand if psychological hazards in our health-care workplaces have changed over the last 10 years.
