Call for Nominations: Canadian Blood Services Central Negotiating Team
March 11, 2019
The Canadian Blood Services collective agreements have all expired and the employers have agreed to participate in central bargaining. As a result, we are initiating the process of electing a Canadian Blood Services Central Negotiating Team and making the call for nominations from members in Canadian Blood Services bargaining units.
Accordingly, I am pleased to attach the following for your information:
- Nomination and Résumé Forms
- Mandate – Canadian Blood Services Central Negotiating Team (CBS)
- Policy #18.6 – ONA Group/Central Negotiating Teams Election Policy
A scanned copy of the completed Nomination Form and a Word copy of the Résumé Form must be received by the Office of the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Administrative Officer via email to email@example.com no later than 1600h, April 1, 2019 to be validated.
The name, Local # and bargaining unit must appear on the Nomination Form. The font size and length of information for inclusion in the Ticket of Nomination will be consistent, and contain no more than 1,500 words. In addition, to have a 500 word article and photograph appear on the ONA website, you must provide me with these documents no later than 1600h on April 1, 2019. Note that information provided must be in MS Word format. Please refer to the ONA Group/Central Negotiating Teams Election Policy for details on all campaign communication opportunities.
A Ticket of Nominations with a mail-in ballot will be sent to all members in this sector by April 15, 2019. Unless the position(s) has been acclaimed, members will be entitled to vote for one full-time and one part-time CBS members with entitlements working in CBS except the National Contact Center. The National Contact Centre will elect one CBS member with entitlements.
Orientation for the Canadian Blood Services Central Negotiating Team is scheduled for May 21 – May 24, 2019. Successful candidates are expected to attend.
