Call for Nominations: Hospital Central Negotiating Team
May 15, 2017
The central hospital collective agreement will expire March 31, 2018. As a result, it is time to initiate the process of electing a new Hospital Central Negotiating Team and to make the call for nominations from members in hospital bargaining units.
Accordingly, I am pleased to post the following for your information:
- Nomination and Résumé Forms
- Mandate – Hospital Central Negotiating Team (HCNT)
- Policy #18.6 – ONA Group/Central Negotiating Teams Election Policy
A scanned copy of the completed Nomination Form and a Word copy of the Résumé Form must be received by the Office of the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Administrative Officer via email to Nominations@ona.org no later than 1600h, June 12, 2017 to be validated. The name, Local # and position for which a member is nominated must appear on the résumé sheet.
Please note the length restriction found in #11 of the ONA Group/Central Negotiating Teams Election Policy. In addition, to have a 500-word article and photograph appear in a pre-election ONA publication and on the ONA website, you must provide me with an article no later than 1600h on June 12, 2017. Note that information provided must be in MS Word format. Please refer to the ONA Group/Central Negotiating Teams Election Policy for details on all campaign communication opportunities.
Online voting (web and/or phone based) will be used for this election. Information will be sent to all members in the hospital sector by July 10, 2017. Members will be entitled to vote for one full-time and one part-time candidate from their region, unless either or both positions have been acclaimed.
Orientation for the Hospital Central Negotiating Team is scheduled for November 6 to November 10, 2017. Successful candidates are expected to attend.
