Seniors' Month

In the province of Ontario, June is Seniors' Month. This is a time to recognize the contributions older adults have made in communities across the province. This month is also a time to generate awareness of the health and social issues that seniors face.

This year’s theme is Stay Safe, Stay in Touch, which underscores the need for communities to check in with elderly people, especially during this uncertain time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the province is encouraging everyone to celebrate Seniors' Month online this year. Seniors Active Living Centres have developed virtual programming for older adults to stay active and connected while physical distancing and self-isolating.
