Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) Bargaining Updates
Updates
August 2, 2023
Your ONA Board and staff team have confirmed that 10 HCCSS branches will be heading to conciliation on November 15, 16 and 17. Conciliation will be held in Toronto, face-to-face between your elected bargaining team and your employer representatives.
Conciliation is a process where your union and employer representatives, with the assistance of a mediator specialist from the Ministry of Labour, try to resolve the issues and come to a negotiated tentative agreement.
Your Local Coordinator or Bargaining Unit President will be scheduling meetings with HCCSS members during the week of November 20 after conciliation. These meetings will be an opportunity to provide updates, including potentially voting on a tentative agreement or determining next steps if an agreement is not reached.
