The Ontario Nurses' Association negotiates your wages, benefits and working conditions on your behalf.

The terms and conditions under the central agreement are negotiated at a provincial bargaining table and apply to all ONA members within the same sector. The Local agreement is negotiated between your ONA Bargaining Unit and your employer.

Provincial Collective Agreements

Attention hospital-sector members:

While the hospital provincial collective agreement (expiry March 31, 2027) remains in draft form, it is in effect and enforceable. The collective agreement cannot be finalized due to implementation issues related to the new transfer of accountability language. There is an upcoming hearing scheduled to resolve these outstanding issues. Once we know the outcome of that hearing, the collective agreement will be finalized, signed, distributed, and translated. If you have any questions about your contract or about how your contract is enforced, please contact your Bargaining Unit President.
