As an active member of the Canadian Federation of Nurses’ Unions (CFNU), the Ontario Nurses’ Association supports many federal and provincial labour and health-care issues across Canada.
From time to time, members of the Ontario Nurses’ Association take action in support of a health or labour cause. These actions include showing solidarity with union members who are locked out or on strike, writing letters in support of campaigns initiated by our colleagues, and educating people about an issue.
Here we highlight our support for initiatives the CFNU and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) endorse.
ONA Supports the RN Response Network!
The Ontario Nurses’ Association is proud to donate $5,000 to support the RN Response Network, which deploys nurse volunteers to provide medical care in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. This Network was launched by the California Nurses Foundation, an active member of National Nurses United. To make a donation, visit here https://bit.ly/34lwDyB
