ONA will not tolerate racism

June 1, 2020

The horrific events over the past several weeks involving the outrageous treatment of Black people have been beyond unfathomable.

In solidarity, communities from across North America – including Ontario – have been protesting the treatment of Black people.

As ONA President, and along with the Board of Directors I want to be clear that we will not tolerate any form of racism, discrimination or intolerance. The equal treatment of our members, and the freedom from any forms of racism, discrimination and harassment in the workplace are core tenets of our union. We will challenge all who racially discriminate, and will take action against all forms of racial intolerance.

In Solidarity,

Vicki McKenna, RN
