Register Now: 2024 Health and Safety Caucus

Registration is now open for ONA’s annual health and safety caucuses, held in conjunction with the April/May Area Coordinators Conferences (ACCs).

This year's theme is "Preventing and Responding to Violence-Related Incidents in the Workplace." This caucus is designed to support our ONA Health and Safety leaders to become more effective at recognizing and preventing violence in the workplace.

The Health and Safety Caucus will bring Subject Matter Experts to discuss:

  • Updates to workplace violence legislation.
  • How to leverage the language in the Occupational Health & Safety Act to mitigate violence hazards in the workplace.
  • How to evaluate the effectiveness of your employer’s workplace harassment/violence investigation report.
  • Learn how to navigate the nuances of the WSIB to attain an accepted claim following a workplace violence incident.

Region 1- Thursday, May 2, 2024 (Virtual)

Region 2 - Tuesday, May 14, 2024 (Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott - Belleville)

Region 3- Thursday, May 23, 2024 (St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue - Toronto)

Region 4- Tuesday, May 28, 2024 (Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls - Niagara Falls)

Region 5- Monday, April 29, 2024 (Four Points by Sheraton London Hotel - London)

All sessions run from 0830 – 16:30 ET on the specified date.


It is important that each member wishing to attend complete their own registration – please do not register for another member.

Pre-registration for the caucus is required to ensure that sufficient refreshments, lunches and materials are available. All members are requested to register for online. Note: Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis due to limited space.
