Ontario Nurses' Association Biennial Convention Sessions Livestreamed on Facebook: Media invited to hear remarks from ONA President Vicki McKenna, CFNU President Linda Silas

TORONTO, Ont., November 15, 2021 – The Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) is holding its Biennial Convention this week, and media is invited to hear remarks from ONA President Vicki McKenna, RN, which will be livestreamed on Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/ontarionurses.

The president’s remarks to more than 800 ONA members – who have been on the front lines battling both COVID-19 and the policies of the Ford government – are scheduled at 9:30 am Tuesday, November 16.

Also being livestreamed later in the week are the remarks of Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) President Linda Silas. Silas will speak Thursday, November 18 at 9:15 am.

Biennial Convention is being held remotely in view of the pandemic. Media who wish to hear the nursing leaders’ remarks are invited to visit www.facebook.com/ontarionurses at the scheduled times, below.

ONA is the union representing 68,000 front-line registered nurses and health-care professionals as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
