ONA Welcomes New Members from Franklin Gardens Long-Term Care Home

January 29, 2020

LEAMINGTON, January 29, 2020 – The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) is delighted to welcome new members from Leamington’s Franklin Gardens Long-Term Care Home.

“This dedicated group of registered nurses provide quality nursing care to our most vulnerable residents,” said ONA President Vicki McKenna, RN.

“We are honoured that these RNs have unanimously voted yes to joining ONA. I look forward to representing them so that they can focus on providing high-quality care,” she said. “This group of RNs is concerned about workloads and staffing levels that make it challenging to ensure their residents receive the care they need and deserve. ONA’s expertise will help them to address those concerns.”

For more information about joining ONA, please email: organizer@ona.org or call: 1-800-387-5580 and ask to speak with an organizer. All conversations will be kept confidential.

ONA is the union representing more than 68,000 registered nurses and health-care professionals, as well as 18,000 nursing student affiliates, providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
