TORONTO, ON, November 6, 2023 – More than 900 front-line nurses, health-care professionals and local leaders are celebrating their 50 years of activism and patient advocacy in Ontario as they gather together for the Biennial Convention of the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA).

The registered nurse who wore the 1940s nursing uniform that has featured so prominently in ONA’s 50th anniversary celebrations cared far beyond the bedside.

TORONTO, ON, October 19, 2022 – Beginning today, the union representing 68,000 registered nurses, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses and health-care professionals will kick off a year-long countdown to its 50th anniversary on October 19, 2023.
